KARACHI: At least 50 persons have been injured from incidents of firing in separate areas here in metropolis on the eve of New Year amid sparkling celebrations, Geo News reported Friday.
According to sources, despite imposition of Section 144 in Karachi, hundreds of thousands of merry-makers and revelers resorted to aerial gunfire to welcome in year 2011 in Karachi, which resulted in massive injuries.
Injured persons have been admitted to different hospitals for medical attainment, sources said, confirming no causality has been reported thus far.
Some among wounded men have been said to be critical in condition, hospital sources told Geo News. |
