Training camp for Davis Cup tie next month
Updated at: 1925 PST,  Monday, January 11, 2010
Training camp for Davis Cup tie next month LAHORE: President Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Dillawar Abbas said that the training camp for Davis Cup tie against Hong Kong would begin in the first week of February in Islamabad and Rasheed Malik would be non-playing captain.

Talking with media in Lahore, Dilawar Abbas said that Aisam-ul-Haq, Aqeel Khan, Jaleel Khan and Yasir Khan would be included in Pakistan team while three junior players including Faizan Khurram would also be invited at the camp for encouraging junior players.

He said that tennis is being harmed due to present situation of the country and no team is willing to come to Pakistan so the International Tennis Federation is forced to hold all events in other countries. Thus, the PTF is bearing an annual loss of at least ten million rupees due to which the junior development programme is being affected.
