KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will announce on January 29 its monetary policy for the subsequent two months, Syed Wasimuddin, chief spokesman for the SBP, said on Tuesday.
In the last monetary policy review in November, SBP raised its key discount rate by 50 basis points to 14 percent because of persistent inflation due to government borrowing from the State Bank of Pakistan. |
