 President Zardari arrives in Lahore

President Zardari arrives in Lahore LAHORE: President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Lahore on a week-long visit, where he was welcomed by Governor Punjab Salman Taseer and others.

On his arrival, Provincial Finance Minister Tanveer Ashraf Kaira said Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif’s visit of Turkey was planned three weeks ago and it is not an issue that CM is not present.

Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmed, Provincial Ministers Farooq Yousuf Gharki, Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and other PPP leaders were present at the occasion.

Sources said President will hold meetings with party leaders, workers, senior journalists, lawyers and business delegations during the visit. Moreover, President will also inaugurate various projects.

Talking to media here at the Governor House, Tanveer Ashraf Kaira said President will look after the party affairs in Punjab while he will also hold meetings with the members of Punjab Cabinet.
