Sharifs absence from Punjab questionable: PPP
Updated at: 2252 PST,  Wednesday, January 13, 2010
KARACHI: Bilawal House spokesman Ejaz Durrani has said that the sudden departure of Sharif brothers on foreign visits during President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit to Punjab is questionable for the people.

In a statement issued from Bilawal House on Wednesday, the spokesman said President Asif Ali Zardari is making efforts to unite the nation at one platform at this critical time.

He said that Sharif brothers were given VVIP protocol by the PPP during their visits to Sindh and Balochistan.

“It is the constitutional obligation of Punjab’s Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to give full protocol to the President on his arrival in Punjab,” he said.

The spokesman further said that Shahbaz Sharif talked very sweet but did not act accordingly.

Sharif brothers never accepted the federal politics of the Bhutto family, he alleged.
