Minorities to be protected at all cost: President ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday said that Government would protect the minorities at all cost in accordance with the vision of Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Constitution of Pakistan.

He said this while talking to Federal Minister for Minorities Shahbaz Bhatti who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

He said that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands nor would anyone be allowed to misuse the country’s laws.

The President asked Shahbaz Bhatti to continue consultations with scholars and ulema of different faiths and denominations with a view to building consensus against misuse of laws against the minorities and vulnerable groups.
