Hilary Clinton phones president Zardari WASHINGTON: US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton talked with President Asif Ali Zardari over the telephone and apprised him of the Obama administration policies regarding Pakistan and the region.

According to an official news agency, US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton phoned President Asif Ali Zardari and briefed him regarding the possible policies of the new US administration, after former president Bush, for Pakistan and the region.

President Zardari congratulated Hilary Clinton on assuming the charge of the Secretary of State.

In the telephonic conversation with the Secretary of State, President Zardari appreciated the statement regarding the Muslim world in US President Barrack Obama’s first address to the nation.

Hilary Clinton and Asif Zardari exchanged views on the current situation of the region and agreed that relations between Pakistan and America should be further strengthened.
