Three killed in Karachi suicide blast KARACHI: A suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden motorbike into a police van at Malir 15 area of Karachi, killing at least three people including two policemen and wounding four others, police said.

According to the Geo News correspondent Muhammad Irfan, the suicide bomber targeted the police van of Saudabad Police station, which was deployed for the security of Chehlum procession of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

The blast was so powerful that it was heard far and wide, triggering tensions around the metropolis while the windowpanes of nearby buildings also broke up.

Relief activities have been kicked off on the blast site. Law-enforcement agencies have arrived on the scene.
