PPP workers protest over assassination of Governor Punjab LAHORE: PPP workers gathered outside the Governor's House on Tuesday and staged a protest demonstration against the assassination of Punjab Governor Salman Taseer in Islamabad.

The protesters were chanting slogans against the tragic killing of Salman Taseer.

They also burnt tyre on road and blocked the Mall Road.

PPP senior leaders Malik Mushtaq Awan,Munir Ahmed Khan, Jahanzeb Barki and others addressing the protesters strongly condemned the assassination of Governor Salman Taseer and termed it an inhuman act.

They also paid rich tribute to the late governor for his contribution to strengthen democracy in the country.

They demanded of the government to utilize resources to unveil the culprits behind the assassination.
