Harassment of US diplomats affecting ties: John McCain ISLAMABAD: The visiting United States Republican Senator John McCain has said use of drone strikes against militants in Pakistan is an effective part of US strategy and should continue.

In a press media briefing with Senator Joseph Lieberman, Senator Johan Barrasso, Senator Thune, Senator John McCain said Pakistan and United States have differences over the drone strikes but the US will continue drone raids as an effective policy tool.

Senator Maccain said harassment of US diplomats is affecting Pak-US relationship.
He said the militaries of Pakistan and United States were working in harmony.

Embassy complained Thursday that its staff members are being harassed and detained as they travel around Pakistan, a rare public protest that illustrated the tensions between the allies as America expands its presence here.
