DUBAI: Pakistan’s fast bowler Mohammad Asif went up to third position while captain Mohammad Yousuf came down from fifth to seventh according to neww Test ranking released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) here on Friday.
Asif displaying magnificent performance against Australia has been promoted to third position while Yousuf’s ranking deteriorated to third.
As per the new Test ranking, Dale Steyn of South Africa has topped the bowlers list, followed by Mitchell Johnson of Australia, Mohammad Asif of Pakistan, Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka and Harbhajan Singh of India.
Among batsmen, Gautam Gambhir of India is leading the list followed by Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara, both from Sri Lanka. |  |
