KARACHI: Devastating bowling by Aizaz Bin Ilyas helped the Pakistan International Airlines defeat Karachi Blues by an innings and 16 runs and reach the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy final.
KCCA Blues collapsed on 100 runs in their second innings on the third day of the match here at the National Stadium on Saturday.
PIA had made 262 against 146 by KCCA Blues in the first innings.
Fast bowler Aizaz Bin Ilyas played vital role in PIA’s success capturing seven wickets in each innings, 14 in the match.
The final will be played between PIA and Habib Bank from January 13. It will be a flood-lit match to be held at the National Stadium, Karachi.
This will be for the time that a first class match will be played under flood lights and pink or yellow ball will be used.
