Updated at: 2230 PST, Saturday, January 08, 2011 KARACHI: Coordination Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) demanded stern punishment for the killers involved in target killing of Yawar Abbas, an office-bearer of MQM’s PIB Sector.
According to a statement issued here from the party, Rabta Committee termed Yawar’s killing a conspiracy against the peace of the city.
Rabta Committee said the rival forces are afraid of MQM’s forwarding peaceful policies and its popularity with the masses; therefore, they persistently continued the spate of bloodbath in the city.
MQM’s body demanded President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik, Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza to take strict notice of Yawar’s killing and arrest those involved in the killing.
The killers should be meted out due punishment, the party demanded. |
