Pakistan has taken some positive steps: Krishna MUMBAI: India said on Friday that Pakistan has taken ‘positive measures’ to book the perpetrators of the Mumbai attacks, but asked Islamabad to do more against terrorism, Geo news reported.

Indian Minister for External Affairs SM Krishna said that Pakistan has taken positive measures on the basis of the dossiers India had provided.

“However, we are still to see Pakistan take effective steps to end infiltration and dismantle the terror mechanism on its territory,” he said while addressing a function in New Delhi on Friday, reported Indian press.

Krishna said it was still to see effective steps to dismantle terror infrastructure by Pakistan, which has taken some ‘halting measures’ after the Mumbai attacks.

Emphasising that India supported a stable Pakistan at peace with itself and the region, he said: “We wish to address our differences with Pakistan through dialogue” but a meaningful dialogue will be possible only in an environment free of terrorism.

The minister said after the Mumbai attacks, Pakistan has taken some ‘halting measures to address the evidence presented to them.
