Gilani calls Altaf, Shujaat, Pagara ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday telephoned leaders of various political parties and took them into confidence over prevailing political situation in the country, Geo News reported.

Gilani called PML-Q chief Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain, MQM leader Altaf Hussain, ANP leader Asfandyar Wali, JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PML-F Chief Pir Pagara and others.

According to sources, the Prime Minister exchanged views over political situation in the country besides taking them into confidence over the appointment of Punjab governor.

Gilani was of view that all the political leadership would be taken into confidence after consultation on major decision over national issues.
