KARACHI: Stock prices at Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) ended higher as investors bought shares on hopes of healthy earnings for the financial quarter ending Sept. 30.
The Karachi Stock Exchange's benchmark 100-share index ended 0.29 percent, or 29.13 points, higher at 10,042.44.
Turnover was 63.82 million shares, compared with 88.83million shares on Thursday.
"It was the middle tier stocks that there was interest in, as investors are expecting strong profits from these companies," said Ahfaz Mustafa, managing director at Ismail Iqbal Securities Ltd.
Results for the quarter ending Sept. 30 are due to be announced in the coming weeks.
