 ISLAMABAD: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Waseem Bari has said that chairman PCB Ejaz Butt did not accept the resignation of skipper national cricket team Younis Khan, Geo news reported Tuesday.
Talking to Geo news, he said Younis decision should be seen as emotional one as he could not pocket match-fixing allegations leveled on him and his teammates amid meeting of Senate Standing Committee (SSC).
He said chairman PCB Ejaz Butt had declined to accept his resignation during SSC meeting and even when Younis tried to tender Butt his resignation, so he refused twice.
Wasim hoped to tackle this issue peacefully within one or two days to come. |  |
