HEC can not run away from verification: ECP ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken strong notice of the stand taken by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) over degree verification and said it was the duty of the HEC to complete the task, Geo News reported.

ECP spokesman, Afzal Khan, while talking to Geo News said 70 percent of degree verification process has been completed and the remaining job should also be done by the commission.

The HEC was bound to follow the orders of the Chief Election Commissioner and be informed in written if there were any hurdles.
