 LAHORE: Punjab Governor Salman Taseer Saturday said the entire nation is standing by the armed forces for the military operation in South Waziristan Agency (SWA).
Talking to media at Governor House, he said the decision regarding the operation was a difficult one; however, the political and military leadership concertedly resolved for the elimination of the terrorism.
Taseer said the SWA operation stands as a critical juncture for the armed forces; accordingly, the nation should stand by the armed forces.
Governor Salman said a few terrorists do belong to the south Punjab; but, there is no training camp there.
He assured if the Waziristan people affected by the operation come to Punjab, they would be extended full-fledged cooperation like Swat affectees. |  |
