Icelanders in thousands demonstrate against Central Bank REYKJAVIK: Thousands of demonstrators in Iceland staged protest demonstrations against the mismanagement of the Central Bank.

Irked by the enforcement of the new monetary policy in Iceland, over two thousand people gathered in front of the parliament and demanded resignation of the Central Bank Chief, David Oddsson holding him responsible for the inept performance of the Central Bank. The protestors holding banners with slogans ‘where is our money’ and ‘stop playing with our future’. Iceland government has already succeeded in controlling the situation on the bankruptcy of three major banks due to global financial crisis.
