 LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has restored the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) after it had been dissolved by the Sports Minister, Ijaz Jakhrani, on Friday, Geo News reported.
Jakhrani, who also heads the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), had dissolved the PTF under rule 4 (XI) of the PSB constitution and charged it with protecting unconstitutional actions of its officers and for not holding elections.
He had also appointed a three-member election committee led by Pir Aftab Shah Jilani, who had said the committee would hold ‘free and fair’ elections within 90 days. |
