LAHORE: Former captain Shahbaz Ahmed is likely to be made manager and chief coach of Pakistan senior hockey team and PHF chief Qasim Zia will announce it at a press conference on Thursday.
As per the PHF sources, former captain Shahbaz Ahmed is likely to be appointed the manager and the chief coach of Pakistan hockey team. He was earlier not ready for resuming this responsibility but the PHF chief convinced him to accept the challenge.
Qualified coach Qamar Ibrahim has been assigned the responsibility of junior team while Ahmed Alam and Danish Kaleem will be working with him as assistant coach.
For the selection committee, Hasan Sardar is being given the position of chief selector.
Sources said that the management of senior and junior teams will be salaried persons.
President Pakistan Hockey Federation Qasim Zia will make the final announcement of the team management and the selection committee at a press conference on Thursday. |  |
