Sub-committee formed to review new power tariff ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Water and Power, Raja Pervez Ashraf presided over a meeting here on Friday in which a sub-committee was constituted to review the new power tariff.

The meeting decided that the people will pay 60 percent of the bills’ amount till the sub-committee comes up with its report on the matter.

Officials of ministries of Water & Power, Petroleum and Finance besides members of parliament and officials of NEPRA attended the meeting.

It was decided that people will pay 60 percent of the amount of the electricity bills for the previous month for which banks will be issued necessary directives. Adjustments will be made in the electricity bills to be issued next month for those who have already paid their bills this month.

The decision regarding the remaining 40 percent amount will be made after sub-committee presents its report.
