NEW DELHI: Shahid Malik, Pakistan High Commissioner to India telephoned Wasim Akram, former Captain of Pakistan cricket team on Thursday in Chennai to inquire about health of his ailing wife Huma Akram, who is undergoing treatment in Apollo hospital there.
The High Commissioner while extending full cooperation to Wasim Akram prayed for early recovery of his wife.
Shahid Malik is also in touch with Dr. Reddy of the Apollo hospital, who is treating Huma Akram.
Huma Akram’s condition worsened during the air ambulance’s scheduled refueling at Chennai airport on Tuesday when she was being flown to Singapore from Lahore for treatment. She was rushed to Apollo Hospital.
Huma is on ventilator and her condition remained critical, Hospital sources said on Thursday. |  |
