 KARACHI: President Sindh Olympics Association (SOA) and Sindh minister for sports Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah has suspended Sindh Hockey Association (SHA) over non-participation in Benazir Bhutto Gold Cup Hockey Tournament (BBGCHT), Geo news reported on Saturday.
According to sources, Sindh sports minister took strong notice of SOA’s non-participation in BBGCHT held in Islamabad, suspending it for an indefinite period from partaking hockey tournaments.
Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah said Sindh province had to miss such a key tournament by dint of non-seriousness, negligence and non-interest of SOA’s officials.
No kind of obstruction would be borne in promotion of sports in province, he concluded. |  |
