Rangers, police take out joint flag march in Karachi KARACHI: The joint flag march from police and rangers is underway in parts of Karachi in order to thwart any untoward situation, Geo news reported Monday.

According to sources, the police and rangers have been put on high alert in Karachi while heavy contingents of two security forces have been deployed in many areas including Clifton Town, Lyari, Jamsheed Town, Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum and Saddar area.

The march got underway from Tower and went through PIDC, Shahra-e-Faisal, Saddar, High Court, II Chundrigarh Road and ended in Metha Ram area, sources said.

Rangers’ motorcycle rider troops led the march all through the way, meanwhile, the soldiers were equipped with latest armaments, sources added.
