Security forces kill militant, arrest another in Mohmand MOHMAND AGENCY: Security forces killed one militant and arrested another who sustained injuries after an encounter with them here on Wednesday.

Forces pounded militants’ hideouts with heavy artillery in the area of Itmaan Zai, tehsil Pandiyaal, however, no casualties were reported.

Sources said that an exchange of fire took place between security forces and militants in Tehsil Sufi, which as a result killed a militant while the other one who received wounds was arrested. The exchange of fire went on for three hours.

Meanwhile, the political administration denied reports that militants took hostage school children during the exchange of fire between the two sides.
