 ISLAMABAD: The exploration licences for 41 blocks has been granted.
Special Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources G A Sabri told Geo News that Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources had invited applications for the grant of exploration licenscs for a total of 53 blocks. Bids were received for 41 blocks on which work would likely be started from December.
Thirteen licences have been granted to Pakistan Petroleum Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company six and Pakistan Oil Field two whereas British Petroleum and ENE get one license each. The bids of these companies will finalize in coming 15 days.
