LAHORE: The problem of unannounced power load shedding continued to pester the people in Punjab small and large cities including Lahore, Geo News reported Sunday.
The citizens are facing a lot of problems owing to the acute power crisis, as Pepco’s bankrupt state has led shortfall to shoot to 5000 Megawatts with power production at 11,090 MWs and demand at 15,977 MWs.
According to the sources, Faisalabad, Hubco, Kot Addu and Rosh, Japan, Southern Electric powerhouses had to be closed owing to unavailability of oil and gas.
The cities are faced with load shedding spans of 8 to 10 hours with villages buckling under upto 16 hours of load shedding, unleashing troubles for the citizens with daily life being badly impacted. |
