KOLKATA: At least 16 people were dead and 70 others remained missing after an overcrowded ferry capsized in rough waters in eastern India on Saturday, police said.
The vessel, which was carrying around 150 people, sank in a river in the Sunderbans mangrove forest, 120 kilometers (75 miles) south of Kolkata, capital of the Indian state of West Bengal, police said. |  | |
