Updated at: 0104 PST,  Monday, October 05, 2009
Govt agrees to table CII recommendation in NA: JUI-F PESHAWAR: Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman, leader Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) said government has consented to table the recommendations of Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) in next Session of the National Assembly (NA).

Addressing a conference on ‘Protection of Religious Madaris’ in Peshawar Sunday, Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said JUI-F has demanded government to form a policy regarding the unanimous resolution of Parliament, directing the Interior and Foreign Ministries to present recommendations.

“Only US is responsible for the ongoing massacre in Iraq and UN has become a concubine of Washington.”

He said issues in tribal areas should be resolved not by force but through dialogues.

“Dialogues and release of Sufi Mohammad was nothing more than a farce.”

Madaris are being targeted and it should be condemned as more as possible, he added.
