KARACHI: Police have arrested three persons, suspected of having links with Taliban and recovered from their possessions, heavy amount of arms and ammunitions including explosives, bullets, Kalashnikovs and hand grenades during raid on a house located in Sohrab Goath locality on Saturday, Geo news reported.
According to SSP CID Fayyaz Khan, three offenders, suspected to have links with banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), were arrested from a house in Sohrab Goath locality who were later identified as Bahadur alias Sadiq, Abid Shah alias Qari Yasir and Shakirullah.
“Three reportedly belonged to banned TTP’s Khalid group”, he said adding, “Two hand grenades, 3 Kalashnikovs and 30 kilograms of deadly explosives were also seized from their possessions.”
They would extend financial support to Taliban through money earned from kidnapping for ransom and bank robberies, added.
CID sources said the held persons were hailing from Mohmand Agency and were involved in attacks on security forces in several parts of Pakistan. |  |
