COAS to attend NATO Committee meeting in Brussels ISLAMABAD: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani would visit Brussels from Nov 18 to 20 on a special invitation from Admiral Giapaolo Di Paolo Chairman Military Committee of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

General Kayani would participate in the meeting of Chiefs of Defence (CHODs) for discussion on prevailing security situation in the region.

Military Committee is the highest military forum of NATO that meets regularly to discuss various strategic issues concerning to NATO.

This will be the first occasion when General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani will address this august forum.

The COAS will discuss the complexities of security issues and the need for a comprehensive approach, while fully addressing Pakistan’s interest.

He will also discuss implications of drone strikes in FATA.
