Thatta sugar mill begin crushing THATTA: the first of District Thatta has formally started sugarcane crushing, Geo News reported Saturday.

Crushing of sugarcane has not been started in other districts of Interior Sindh in violation of government order.

Abdullah Shah Ghazi Sugar Mill in Garhu area of District Thatta has started sugarcane crushing before Eid. While, three other sugar mills of Thatta have not started crushing despite the government orders in this connection.

Talking to Geo News, Abdullah Shah Ghazi Sugar Mill Managing Director Riaz Butt said the decision regarding the sugarcane crushing has been taken in view of sugar crisis in the country, adding 4500 tonnes of sugarcanes would be crushed daily.
