Updated at: 2019 PST,  Tuesday, November 17, 2009
US demands ‘Do more’ spurred by govt’s cowardice LAHORE: Jamaat Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaquat Baloch Tuesday said the US President Obama demanded ‘Do more’ owing to the cowardly attitude of democracy-boasting government.

According to a statement issued from Mansoorah here, Baloch said it is due to the frail rulers of Pakistan that the country is facing threats to its independence, solidarity, internal integrity and nuclear programme.

The JI leader demanded the government to review its foreign and internal policy, saying the US, India and Israel are taking advantage of the ongoing wave of terrorism.

He also demanded the measures to immediate return of the Pakistanis handed to the US including Dr Aafia Siddiqui.
