 No issue with Nawaz: Altaf
Updated at: 2132 PST,  Tuesday, November 17, 2009
No issue with Nawaz: Altaf KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain Tuesday said he has no issue with Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), it was Mian Nawaz Sharif himself who severed ties with us.

He said this while talking to Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q dissident group) leaders Salim Saifullah, Khurshid Kasuri and Humayoun Akhtar at MQM center Nine Zero by phone.

On this occasion, various Rabta Committee members including the Committee Deputy Convener Anis Qaim Khani were present.

Altaf said the misgivings spread among the people of Punjab are fast thinning out and the MQM would prove a large party in Punjab in near future.

Akhtar, Salim and Khurshid Kasuri said the arrival of the MQM in Punjab is welcome step and all the political parties including Muttahida should have roots in the entire country.

He said the MQM’s stance on Kerry-Lugar Bill and National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was appreciated across the country and the decision has clarified that Muttahida rises above party interests while deciding on national issues.

Q-League leaders congratulated Altaf Hussain on party’s success in Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
