Pakistan move into Asian Games women’s cricket final GUANGZHOU, China: Pakistan romped to an impressive nine-wicket win over Japan in semi-final of the Asian Games women’s cricket here on Thursday.

Japan women were restricted to 61-8 in the allotted 20 overs after skipper Ema Kuribayashi won the toss and elected to bat.

Ema Kuribayashi was the top scorer with 24.

For Pakistan, Sana Gulzar claimed two wickets for only eight runs while captain Sana Mir, Nida Rashid and Masooma Junaid took one wicket each.

Chasing 62, Pakistan women reached the target, losing only one wicket, with almost 10 overs left.

Javeria Wadood cracked 29 off 25 balls.
