KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain Sunday said that there is no corruption case against any Muttahida leader including him, adding all the cases against the party have been filed during the state operation.
He was addressing the General Workers conference of Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation.
Names of several MQM workers are on the NRO list in connection with the old cases and the name of Altaf Hussain tops the list, the MQM leader said warning those at the helm of affairs that the more cases are filed against the party, the more people would join it.
Altaf observed that if Muttahida comes into power, building of palaces would completely be ruled out; instead, the party government will provide people with shelter.
The propaganda against the MQM was peddled among the Punjab people; but, lanes and streets of Punjab are ringing with slogans of Haq Prasti (truthfulness), Altaf said adding Punjab people now cannot be misled with any false propaganda.
Altaf further said the MQM is a party that people from all religious factions and sects belong to, adding the MQM is the party of all the Pakistanis including Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Sikhs or Ahmadi.
