Haqqani cannot be held solely responsible: Qureshi

Updated at: 1822 PST,  Wednesday, November 23, 2011
Haqqani cannot be held solely responsible: Qureshi LAHORE: Former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi Wednesday said the entire blame of memo scandal could not be imposed on Hussain Haqqani, calling for exposing all those responsible for it, Geo News reported.

He said this while addressing a peace conference of Ulema and Mashaikh and later talking to media men.

"The nation has made up its mind for a change. We have already lost half of the country, now what is it that we are waiting for?" Shah Mehmood Qureshi asked.

He said he had made it clear to Pakistan Muslim League-N President Nawaz Sharif that now was not the time to continue to remain a part of the assemblies.

Qureshi remarked that the sovereignty of nations which carry begging bowls always end up being traded.

He said Sherry Rehman as Pakistan's Ambassador to the US must defend Pakistan's interests.
