KARACHI: Talks between a team of government and representatives of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) are underway here at Sindh Governor House to discuss Reformed General Sales Tax (RGST), Geo News reported Wednesday.
Two federal ministers – Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Minister for Finance and Rehman Malik, Interior Minister – who are representing the government, are presently engaged in talks with MQM representatives with an aim to convince them over RGST.
The two ministers flew in from Islamabad with the agenda to bring MQM round to according support to the proposed RGST bill.
Mustafa Kamal, Dr. Farooq Sattar, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Faizal Sabzwari, Abdul Haseeb, Raza Haroon among others are representing MQM. |
