Sherry Rehman calls on President Zardari ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday congratulated the ambassador-designate to the United States Sherry Rehman for her news assignment and asked her to concentrate on further enhancing Pakistan-US bilateral relations with focus on strengthening democracy and trade ties.

President Zardari said this to Sherry Rehman during their meeting held here the Presidency.

Sherry Rehman thanked the President for the trust and confidence reposed in her and assured that she would accomplish her responsibilities as ambassador of Pakistan in a spirited manner and with full devotion.

The ambassador-designate said she would earnestly work to augment Pakistan’s bilateral relations with the US and would endeavor to defend interests of Pakistan at all international fora, especially in Washington.
