Govt bans pillion riding in Karachi from Friday KARACHI: Government of Sindh has banned pillion ridding in Karachi with effect from 10:00 AM Friday, Geo News reported Thursday.

According to spokesman of Sindh Government, the notification to this effect will be issued by Friday morning.

Journalists, elderly people, women and children will be exempt from the ban.

Meanwhile, Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Wassan said the government has information that suggests imminent terrorist activities in the city. The move of putting in place a ban on riding pillion is aimed at protecting the citizens, he added.

He said initially the ban would remain in force till 10th of Moharram ul Haram.
