Updated at: 0232 PST,  Saturday, November 27, 2010
LAHORE: Commissioner Lahore Khusroo Pervaiz Khan has said, keeping in view the prevailing situation of security in country, Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) cannot be allowed staging a long march from Lahore to Sheikhupura on November 27, Geo News reported.

In a meeting with representatives of SIC in Lahore, commissioner said terrorists attacked Data Darbar, Karbala Gamay Shah and Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s mausoleum despite stringent security.

Situation of security is deteriorating in country, said Khushroo, adding that permission of long march and processions in open-air in such a situation cannot be given at all.

He appealed to the attendees of meeting that they should arrange such demonstrations within the premises of madaris or boundary.
