Kurd vows to continue struggle till judges’ reinstatement
Updated at: 1113 PST,  Monday, November 03, 2008
Kurd vows to continue struggle till judges’ reinstatement ISLAMABAD: The President of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Ali Ahmed Kurd has dispelled the impression that lawyers’ movement has weakened, adding it has gained momentum like never before.

Talking to newsmen outside residence of deposed chief justice, SCBA President said his success in SCBA election was a clear indication of people mandate. Judiciary cannot be termed independent by fresh reappointment of few judges, he commented.

Kurd vowed to continue the movement till the restoration of all deposed judges including Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

To a question about talks offer from the government, he said that it would be discussed in next SCBA meeting and if all lawyers agreed talks would be initiated with the government.
