Punjab CM, Acting Governor meets PM LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif and Acting Governor Rana Muhammad Iqbal called on the Prime Minister, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at the State Guest House here.

The ongoing provincial political tussle between Punjab Governor and Punjab government and the overall situation in the country came under discussions in the meeting held at the State Guest House here. The matter relating to the Punjab Governor declaring Provincial Mohtasib, Khalid Mahmood’s oath taking unconstitutional, while the Punjab government’s insistence on this step in the interest of the province was also focused.

Sources said that the Punjab CM fully endorsed the government’s stand taken in the matter of Indian efforts involving Pakistan in Mumbai attacks and assured all support on behalf of the Muslim League-N for facing any aggression from India.
