Causalities feared in DGK car bomb blast DERA GHAZI KHAN: Several people wounded in a bomb blast near residence of senior advisor of chief minister Punjab Zulfiqar Khosa in Dera Ghazi Khan.

Sardar Zulfiqar Khosa said an explosive laden car hit the gate of his house. However, no one is present in the house at the time of blast, he added.

On the other hand, commissioner Hasan Iqbal said the blast carried out through a car bomb. He said eight to ten shops have been destroyed whereas many people still trapped under the rubble. A deep crater has been formed at the site of blast. Fourteen injured have been rushed to district headquarter hospital, Dera Ghazi Khan where emergency has been imposed.

The blast was so powerful that it was heard far and wide and smashed the windowpanes of the nearby buildings. High police officials have reached the scene as rescue operations are underway.
