 ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari, calling the friendship of Pakistan-China ‘key to stability in region’, Saturday said that it has enough potential to become chief cause for two countries’ social and economic development.
He said two countries should join hands for global peace and stability. President was addressing the attendees of reception in honour of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao here at President House.
Along with PML-N chief Mian Mohammed Nawaz Sharif, some other mainstream political leadership was also present on the occasion.
President Zardari, on the occasion, said the visit of Chinese Premier would have positive impact on the history of ties of bilateral friendship of two countries, adding that this is an all-weather friendship, which would bear fruits even in hours of difficulties.
Maintaining his upbeat, he said, Sino-Pak friendship is an example for the world to follow.
He urged underdeveloped countries to take advantage of progress made by China in last 30 years in sectors like education, politics, economic, technology and etc.
Earlier, Chinese Premier and President Zardari held one-on-one meeting at president house, which followed delegations-level meetings with pledges to enhance cooperation in various sectors including trade in Pakistan. |
