Intekhab Alam supports extension in Shoaib’s captaincy KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Team Coach, Intekhab Alam Monday expressed his support for keeping Shoaib Malik as captain for both test and one-day teams.

Talking to Geo News, he dismissed having any differences with the Chief Coach Abdul Qadir in connection with team selection and that he is favored holding of practice matches.

Intekhab Alam was of the opinion that Pakistan could gain advantage if one-day matches are played first during the upcoming home series with Sri Lanka.

To a question, he said Shoaib Malik should continue as captain.
