 SU semester exams to resume on Tuesday

 HYDERABAD: The authorities of University of Sindh (SU) Jamshoro announced late Monday evening that ongoing semester examinations of the University will be conducted as per its schedule from Tuesday.

The University’s point buses for the teachers, students and employees will ply from its already fixed routes.

According to a University spokesman, it was decided after a meeting with the leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party and the University administration.

The meeting was attended by Central President of Sindh Peoples Youth and Member Executive Committee PPP Sindh, Aajiz Dhamrah, Sindh University Registrar Muhammad Saleh Rajar, Nazim Sindh University Union Council Lala Ayaz Pathan, Professor Agha Riaz Hassan, Ahmed Ali Abassi and representatives of Sindh Peoples Students Federation (SPSF) Sindh University at Office of the Registrar of the University.

The PPP leadership offered their full cooperation and announced withdrawal of call for a boycott of semester examination.

Aijaz Dhamrah while expressing concern over call of boycott by University's ongoing semester examinations given by SPSF which disturbed the paper of final year students on Monday and more than 19000 students could not appear and teachers and employees could not reach the campus. He said PPP has always supported a peaceful atmosphere in the educational institutions.

After assurance by PPP leadership, the University administration has decided to continue ongoing semester examinations from tomorrow in the morning and evening shifts.
