BANNU: At least nine persons, including three women, lost their lives in a road accident on Indus Highway near Bannu district, Geo New reported Friday.
Another two sustained injuries in the mishap, sources said, informing that injured persons have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, Bannu.
Rescuers said that the accident took place due to broken highway road.
According to details, a passenger bus, bound to Peshawar from Karachi, met a head-on collision with a truck near Landi Jalander place on Indus Highway, resulting in killing nine persons including three women and leaving another two critically wounded.
Those killed could not be identified immediately, police sources said, adding that accident occurred due to broken highway road.
More investigations are underway, police sources added. |
